IT’S A 2022 QUILT ALONG!
Sugar Coated Stars Quilt is so much fun, of course I want to share that fun with all of my quilty friends! So a quilt along is in order! When the pattern is released on October 3, 2022 you will be able to purchase the pattern at that time. Until then, I have all of the details about the QAL for you!
The Quilt Along will run from October 17, 2022 through December 4, 2022.
Sugar Coated Stars Pattern
This beautiful pattern has a variety of blocks and if you feel that you need some extra help or if you just want to spend some extra time with me, then join me in the QAL! I will be sending weekly blog articles and posting weekly videos progressing through the pattern. Not only is the pattern an adorable sawtooth star sampler type quilt, it is indeed a skill builder challenge, as the pattern features half square triangles, flying geese (2 ways: traditional method 1-at-a-time method and the 4-at-a-time-method), sashing strips and corners using the stitch and flip method!

QAL Schedule
The Quilt Along will run for 7 weeks. The Thanksgiving holiday falls during the QAL so I added in a buffer week for you to catch up! Everyone needs a little reminder, so details about posting requirements each week during the QAL will be posted via the blog and Instagram.
Week 1: Pick fabrics – post progress by 10/23/22
Week 2: Cut & organize – post progress by 10/30/22
Week 3: Make block centers – post progress by 11/6/22
Week 4: Make flying geese and sashing – post progress by 11/13/22
Week 5: Begin block assembly – post progress by 11/20/22
Week 6: Catch up week (Thanksgiving in US) – post progress by 11/27/22
Week 7: Continue assembly & finish! – post final quilt top by 12/4/22

Rules & Details
-The QAL is open internationally, however, some of the weekly sponsors may have restrictions on shipping locations.
-You must have a public Instagram account to participate, otherwise, we won’t be able to see your beautiful work! Each week, you must use the hashtags #SugarCoatedStarsQuilt and #SugarCoatedStarsQAL to be eligible to win any of the prizes.
-You may work ahead however, in order to be eligible for the weekly prize, you must post your progress each week by the stated due dates. Details will be provided each week on the blog, so don’t feel like you have to remember everything now!
-To be eligible for the grand prize in Week 7, you do not need to post a quilted quilt, you only need to post a completely pieced quilt top.
