I didn’t grow up sewing and quilting, despite the fact that these interests are practically embedded within my genes. Both my mother and grandmother had wonderful talents, especially when it came to quilting, but as I grew up, I simply never cared to learn. In fact, I only recently discovered my love for quilting when someone in a craft store recommended I try it, and since then, I’ve been hooked.

It was suggested that I consider taking a quilting class for beginners, but anybody with a full-time job, busy schedule, and/or kids knows that time is precious, and we rarely have extra to spare. So, my approach to quilting looked a lot like hundreds of YouTube tutorials, hours of reading, and excessive trial and error. Looking back, I realize that I would have benefitted from a better, stronger foundation of skills – maybe I should’ve taken that class after all – which brings me here.

Now, I strive to provide insights and tips to my own community (that’s you) to help you strengthen your own quilting and crafting foundation. My goal for this community is to help quilters of all levels become more familiar with the techniques and skills that will help them perfect their own projects as well as discover new ones.

Diving into a new hobby can be intimidating, but I am eager to welcome all who want to grow more comfortable in this craft and find their voice within the quilting community. I’m excited to provide engaging courses, quilting resources, and loads of information to help you sharpen those skills!
